The Rattler Experience

High school and prospective graduate students and their families are invited to experience a day in the life of St. Mary’s University students through this full-day program. Discover academic opportunities, explore campus life, learn about scholarships and financial aid resources, take a tour of campus and visit a residence hall.

10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Choose Your Session #1

Academic Preview
Connect with faculty and staff to learn more about your academic school. You’ll discover academic programs, more about your major, courses, research opportunities and more. Guides will lead you to your session from the University Center.

11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Choose Your Session #2

Parent Session
Have questions about what your student can expect at St. Mary’s University? Ask them at this session.

Pre-Professional (Pre-Law, Pre-Health) Programs
If you are considering pursuing a career in the law or the health care industry, this session will provide information on the different programs and resources St. Mary’s offers to help students prepare for admission to law school, medical or dental school and more.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Lunch

Enjoy a variety of delicious fare, crafted by our award-winning Executive Chef Brent Gorman, at the Diamond Back Café.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Campus Fair

Meet with campus resources and academic departments to learn about programs, services and organizations.

11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Campus Tours (Optional)

Take a walking tour of campus with a student Diamondback Tour Guide. Tours leave at 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

1:30 p.m., Financial Aid

Learn how the Office of Financial Assistance connects students and families with available financial resources

2 p.m., Closing Remarks

2:15 p.m., Residence Hall Tours (Optional)

Where can I park?

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the University Center Atrium for prospective high school students and in The Pub at St. Mary’s for prospective graduate students.

Where do I check-in?

Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. You will be walking outside between different campus buildings and areas.
