The Graduate Certificate in Construction Management serves the needs of individuals who would like to increase their knowledge and skill levels in the field of construction management in a short time frame. We offer the curriculum in an accelerated format that would allow working professionals to complete the four certificate courses in only two semesters. Our graduates can enter the construction management industry with the strong foundation they can build through the certificate and through the connections we have with our industry partners.

Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements and Process

To be considered for the Graduate Certificate in Construction Management program, applicants must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree
  • Submit a personal statement
  • Submit a résumé

Interested applicants can apply via the St. Mary’s University application. The GRE/GMAT is not required for admission to this certificate program. Summer admission is not applicable to this program.

How long does it take to complete the certificate?

Course work in the Graduate Certificate in Construction Management may be offered in a virtual (synchronous) or online (asynchronous) format. Virtual courses are taken remotely in real-time (with your professor and classmates via Zoom) on a scheduled class day and time. Online courses are not taught in real-time but include pre-recorded lectures, video uploads, class chats and individual meetings with professors. 

Some courses in this certificate program may require students to occasionally meet at job sites or on the St. Mary’s University campus. Check with the Program Director for more information.
