Biography
Gustavo Guzman, Ph.D., is a retired (30 years) police executive and has been teaching at St. Mary’s University since 2007 (part time) and was promoted to Assistant Professor (full time) in July 2023. His academic areas of focus are police management & leadership, criminal justice ethics, and the law and criminal justice. Dr. Guzman also assists police agencies with policy development and, when requested, serves as a subject matter expert in criminal, civil, and police arbitration cases. Dr. Guzman enjoys hiking and spending time at the beach with his family.
