Biography
Gail Ribalta joined the Greehey School of Business as an adjunct professor in January 2018. She has also been an adjunct professor for the MBA program at Norwich University for 14 years, teaching multiple business courses in management, quantitative methods and international business.
Ribalta is a senior business executive with three decades of global business experience in marketing, market research, strategic planning, finance, operations, change management, business development, international expansion and innovation in multiple industries with B2C, B2B and B2G experience — in both for-profit and non-profit enterprises. She has held executive positions in several firms, such as Texas Instruments, Mattel Toys, Harcourt Assessment (now Pearson), Dearfoams and Goodwill; was co-founding partner of Edvance Research, an education research firm (now Westat); and is currently the Principal at GDR Marketing Solutions.
Ribalta has led international marketing and business development in Asia, Australia, North and South America, Europe and the Middle East. She applies a practical and real-world perspective to sound business theory in her teaching, based on domestic and international experiences in multiple industries.
A major proponent of mentoring and community outreach in San Antonio for more than two decades, Ribalta serves on the Board of Directors of the River City Federal Credit Union, the Founding Board for the Promesa Academy Charter School, and has served on the UTSA Dean’s Advisory Council, College of Liberal and Fine Arts, for more than 10 years. She is an active speaker, volunteer and a proponent for the welfare of children, animals and seniors. She lives in the San Antonio area with her husband and an expanding household of rescued pets.
