San Antonio – St. Mary’s University women’s golfers Ursula Perez, Amanda Anderson and Jenna Wessels were all named All-Heartland Conference for their play during the 2008-2009 season, it was announced Monday in a vote of league coaches.

Perez (So., San Antonio) received first team honors after finishing third at the recent Heartland Conference Championships. She had six top-20 finishes this season, including three top-five showings. Her 81.7 stroke average was the top mark on the team this season.

Amanda Anderson (Sr., San Antonio) and Jenna Wessels (Jr., Katy) were each named second team All-Heartland Conference. Anderson completed her career as a Rattler by finishing sixth at the Heartland Conference Tournament. She had six top-20 finishes this season, including medalist honors at the River City Classic. The All-Heartland Conference selection marked the third straight year she has been honored by the league. Wessels was picked to the second team for the second straight season. She was third on the squad in stroke average with an 83.2, had four top-20 finishes and placed 14th at the Heartland Conference Tournament.

The Rattlers finished the 2008-2009 season with their best showing, finishing second at the Heartland Conference Championships on April 20-21 at Horseshoe Bay.
