Cross Country Earns 5th-Place Finish at ASU Meet

San Angelo, Texas – Michelle Ornelas’ 18th-place finish helped the St. Mary’s University cross country team take fifth place at the Angelo State Blue and Gold Classic, the Rattlers’ final regular-season event this fall.

Ornelas (Sr., Arlington, Texas) crossed in 21 minutes, 42.54 seconds at Mathis Field.

Rebekah Rubio, a junior, was the next Rattler to cross, finishing 28th in 23:03.57, while Raquel Quintero (Fr., Corpus Christi, Texas) finished 29th in 23:57.67.
