Eighty two St. Mary’s University student athletes took their place among the
Heartland Conference’s elite students when they were named to the
conference’s 2001-2002 academic honor rolls.

Of the 10 sports sponsored by the Heartland Conference, St. Mary’s held the
highest team grade point average (GPA) in three – baseball, men’s soccer and
volleyball.
The President’s Honor Roll, made up of student athletes who have a GPA of
3.5 or higher, saw 43 St. Mary’s students make the list.
The Commissioner’s Honor Roll, consisting of student athletes with a GPA
between 3.0 and 3.49, saw 39 Rattlers make the list.
