Charles L. Cotrell, Ph.D., president of St. Mary’s University, was among
12 community leaders chosen by Mayor Ed Garza to serve on the Commission on Integrity and
Trust in Local Government.
Garza formed the commission to look into recent allegations against city
officials. The aim of the commission is to ensure that community members
regain their trust in city officials following the recent charges
against councilmen Enrique “Kike” Martin and John Sanders.
