Accounting at St. Mary’s
The Department of Accounting in the Greehey School of Business develops ethical leaders who are ready to enter the challenging and rewarding accounting profession.
Student Activities
The Accounting Department provides students with many opportunities to grow as leaders, build their professional network and serve the community.
The Accounting Club gives students the latest information on the CPA exam, job and internship opportunities, exposure to recruiters and much more.
Through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, students and faculty volunteer thousands of hours of their time each year to assist low-income families in our community.
Graduate-Ready for the CPA Exam
Students may take the examination after completion of the 120-credit-hour B.B.A. in Accounting, although final licensure requires completion of a total of 150 credit hours. These additional hours may be earned by adding a minor, a second major or by transitioning into the 150-credit-hour major in Accounting and Data Analytics.
