Public Health at St. Mary’s
The Bachelor of Science in Public Health aligns with nationally recognized public health competencies to offer the skills, knowledge and abilities to improve population health and wellbeing. This program is ideal for those interested in community health who will pursue a wide array of health care careers or graduate professional education careers in health disciplines.
Graduates are prepared with the knowledge to succeed in the in-demand fields of public health, health care, community health, health education, disease prevention, informatics, health promotion and health care management.
Program of Study
The Bachelor of Science in Public Health includes 21 core credit hours and offers four concentration/track options: an Accelerated Master of Public Health track, a Health Care Compliance track, and concentrations in Health Informatics and Generalist Public Health. Each concentration/track comprises an additional 15 to 18 credit hours.
St. Mary’s University also offers a 12-credit-hour Certificate in Public Health.
