The Graduate Certificate for Dual Credit Teaching in English Literature and Language is a fully online cohort program that provides an excellent opportunity for high school instructors to earn the necessary graduate hours to teach dual credit English courses. As demand for dual credit courses in Texas secondary schools increases, so does the need for qualified teachers to teach these courses. 

This graduate certificate is designed for students who already have a master’s in another field and now want to teach dual credit English.

Graduate Certificate Admission and Tuition

Admission Requirements and Process

Interested applicants must complete the online application, respond to a short answer question and upload a copy of the highest degree-granting transcript (bachelor’s or master’s). Students will also need to submit a letter of recommendation. The GRE/GMAT is not required for admission to this certificate program.

Please note: An unofficial copy of your transcript can be used to apply for admission to the program. If enrolled in the program, students will be required to submit an official transcript within four weeks of the start of class.
