Stefania Malacrida completed German studies while obtaining her graduate degree in Philosophy. She studied and researched at the Ruprecht-Karls Universität in Heidelberg, Germany, focusing in particular on Kant and contemporary existentialist philosophers and writers such as Martin Heidegger, Robert Musil, Karl Jaspers, Thomas Bernhard and the first Hannah Arendt.

She has a dog, a couple of really good friends, many books and a husband (not listed in order of importance).

Her favorite quote is by Wislawa Szymborska: “I prefer the absurdity of writing poems to the absurdity of not writing poems.”
