Information for Academic Procession

In honor of this event, all undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and law classes with a start time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. will not meet, so that the campus community can attend the event.

University leadership, academic deans, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the academic procession, as we celebrate the inauguration of a new president.

Academic Dress

Academic regalia is required to participate in the procession and participants are responsible for bringing their own academic dress. Do not bring items that cannot be carried in the procession, such as a briefcase, backpack or large handbag. Storage will not be available.

Robing, Lineup and Formation of the Academic Procession

We ask that all faculty and staff participants arrive to the Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center, Concourse, dressed in your academic regalia, no later than 10:15 a.m. to be ready and lined up no later than 10:20 a.m. The academic procession will begin moving to the Bill Greehey Arena at 10:25 a.m. and will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Community Reception

Following the Eucharistic Celebration and Investiture Ceremony, all attendees are invited to enjoy music and a light reception in the Auxiliary Gym.
