The Rattler student newspaper, which celebrated 100 years of publication in September, received first place for a video honoring its anniversary in the documentary video category of the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association annual awards competition.
The association announced the winners on Monday. According to a news release by The Rattler, staffers earned 10 awards, including “Best Use of Social Media” and “Cover Design-Newspaper.”
