The Greehey School of Business at St. Mary’s University recently welcomed five new faculty members this fall.
Klavdia Evans, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Strategic Management, specializes in corporate governance and socially generated assets in firms such as prestige, reputation, stigma and disapproval. Before joining academia, she worked as an auditor with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
Sergio Palacios, Ph.D., Visiting Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies, is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation and digital strategy. He founded his first company right after finishing his undergraduate degree, developing prepackaged food products and serving retailers such as H-E-B.
Violeta Diaz, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Finance, taught at New Mexico State University for five years before joining us this fall. An award-winning educator, her specialty includes business forecasting and financial markets.
Among the five new faculty members are Cody Cox, Ph.D., and Gregory Pool, Ph.D., from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Organizational behavior and industrial and organizational psychology are the forte of Cox, a prolific researcher who taught at Texas A&M-San Antonio before joining St. Mary’s. Pool, an expert in organizational and industrial psychology, is also an expert in executive training and joins us the Director of Executive Education in the Greehey School. Both Cox and Pool have dual appointments in the Greehey School of Business and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
“We are fortunate to have attracted such experienced and passionate individuals to the St. Mary’s community,” said Tanuja Singh, D.B.A., Dean of the Greehey School of Business.
