Oklahoma City – Cami Furgeson led the St. Mary’s University women’s golf team with an 8-over-par 78 in the first round of the Mahogany-UCO Classic on Monday.

Furgeson (So., Newcastle, Calif.) is tied for 25th place, helping position the Rattlers in 13th entering Tuesday’s final round. St. Mary’s carded a 327 on the first day.

Central Oklahoma shot a 289 to lead the tournament.

For St. Mary’s, Ursula Perez (Sr., San Antonio) carded an 80, while Alejandra Cantu (Jr., Mission, Texas) shot 83.
