The St. Mary’s men’s and women’s basketball teams enter a tough stretch in this middle part of the Heartland Conference schedule.
“Even though some of the records of the teams we are going to play are bad, they have played really good teams,” Men’s Coach Buddy Meyer said. “Panhandle has lost some close games to good teams.”
The men are coming off a decisive 69-52 win over St. Edward’s in Austin. The win brings the Rattlers’ record to 14-5 overall and 4-0 in Heartland Conference play.
The women lost to St. Ed’s, making the remainder of the conference season that much more important for the Lady Rattlers (8-9, 2-2).
