The St. Mary’s Lady Rattlers are beginning to find their groove, winning consecutive games with a 89-62 victory over Texas A&M-International on Tuesday night. Senior post Stephanie Rayos scored 17 points, also adding nine rebounds and a team-leading five assists.

Sophomore center Flavia Azinheira recorded 30 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Azinheira, named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week on Monday, has scored 93 points in the last three games.

The Lady Rattlers (2-4) play again this weekend, taking part in the Incarnate Word Tournament on Fri., Dec. 2, and Sat., Dec. 3. Both games are scheduled for 4 p.m. on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word.
