Tom P. Cusick Jr., drafted out of MacArthur High School by the
Montreal Expos, chose college over professional baseball. That proved to be
fortuitous as he entered the life and health insurance business and went on
to form Benefit Planners, specializing in executive and employee benefit
plans. In 2001 Benefit Planners, formed in 1982, was ranked in the top 10
nationally administering more than 200 self-funded plans with more than
400,000 plan participants.
